Biography
- Alfredo Lewin is the founding partner of the Firm and the head of the Tax team. He advises clients on the tax aspects of cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, partnerships and joint ventures, and structured finance.
- Alfredo also advises individual clients and families on income and estate tax matters and advises a range of clients on transfer-pricing tax issues arising from transactions among related parties. He has also acted as an arbitrator in controversies related to tax and contractual matters.
- Alfredo has written articles on Colombian and international taxation, and he has spoken on such subjects in various forums organized by multiple academic institutions (NYU, Fundación Getulio Vargas, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Bolivariana, among others). In addition, he has served as a cathedratic professor on several occasions, dictating various subjects related to his areas of expertise.
